Mumbai-based actor, model and performer Kavita Radheshyam will soon be seen in Ramesh R Babu’s latest Tamil film project. According to sources, Babu was so impressed with Kavita Radheshyam’s photoshoot titled “A tribute to Silk Smitha” that in spite of auditioning almost 200 girls for the role, he decided to immediately zero in on Kavita.

Says Babu, “Kavita Radheshyam is a natural, born actor. My film is based on the lives of three well-known yesteryear south actresses. It is a fictionalized account of their love lives. Kavita Radheshyam is most suited to play the main lead and hence I have signed her for the role.

Kavita Radheshyam is the brand ambassador for Smriti India (Save The Girl Child) Organization. Raveena Tandon and Diana Hayden were the earlier ambassadors of Smriti.

She has shot for a Hindi feature film with director Faisal Saif – of Jigyaasa fame – titled ’5 Ghantey Mien 5 Crore’ where she played the second lead which released in August this year. Kavita has also done a big budget Kannada film Ragini IPS. Kavita is currently shooting for a Hindi film as well as Tamil project.

Speaking to Newz88, Kavita said, “This year is a very lucky year for me. My film 5 Ghantey Mien 5 Crore released recently. I have signed on a Hindi film with a very well-known and reputed director which features a Bollywood super star. Then there is Babu sir’s Tamil film. I am also doing a Marathi film with another well-known personality. I must really thank God for being good to me.”
